AE048 “The Anubis Set”
“Anubis” was the jackal-headed god associated with mummification and the after lifein ancient Egyptian religious practices.
In this new set two Nubian slaves carry a likeness of the canine god mounted on a golden casket. This particular “Anubis’ statue is based on a similar effigy found in the tomb of the young pharaoh Tutankhamun.
