FW103 "Oswald Boelcke"
This is the pilot who taught the Red Baron how to fight in the air... Boelcke is widely considered on the most influential fighter pilots of the early years of air combat. He developed many of the initial rules of air fighting utilized by both sides during the 1914-18 war. He was killed in 1916 after winning some 40 victories. OUr figure shows him wearing his black leathers flying jacket and carrying a celebratory bottle of champagne.
